Without copyright, what protects the long-term commercial future of publishers? Copyright is one of the foundations on which the global publishing industy has been built, yet copyright as we know it is under serious threat in many parts of the world. The commercial impact of these changes is already being felt by publishers in many sectors. In this presentation, Michael Healy of Copyright Clearance Center (USA) will review the current condition condition of copyright around the globe, describe what goverments and judiciaries are proposing for it's future, and how publishers are responding.
