In Indonesia the national market is so important that only recently publishers started exporing international/overseas business; in the Middle Est., Arab language content is in demand in at least 22 countries. In Germany, app. 12 percent of new publications are translations from other languages. Many countries have initatives to support their publishers with their internationalisation, but we also see that in some countries these initatives are not so well used by local publishers. This presentation aims to discuss how important international business is in today's publishig markets and what new trends and measures are on the table.
