Sajida H. Shroff is an international educational strategist with over 20 years’ experience in ECE, K-12, tertiary & VTECH sectors. She is committed to contextualizing education with a focus on quality and access. And she is passionate about integrating innovative practices in knowledge organizations.
Sajida has worked with government, NGO, and corporate entities across five continents including experiences with UNESCO, OECD, CIDA, US Department of Health & Human Services, WHO, NATO, McKinsey, Alta Colleges, Dubai Holding, ISC, and Aga Khan Development Network; along with academic institutions including UCL, IOE, Cambridge, OISE, AUD, Abu Dhabi University, HCT, UCONN, Institute of Technical Education (Singapore), Waterloo, Emory, Harvard and Columbia.
Sajida has an EdM in Strategy & Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a MBA in Marketing, Management & Strategy from Emory University. She also has a BEd and a BA from the University of British Columbia.
Sajida has focused on serving marginalized populations across the globe. Her initial efforts included setting up/operating K-12 schools with a focus on reading development for the children and their families; followed by setting up/operating colleges for underserved populations. She then served as the educational advisor for a global development network with nurseries, schools, and universities around the world. Upon relocating to the UAE, Sajida has focused on programme planning; innovation in learning; transnational education and how it contributes to workforce skills; knowledge development; and transforming societies. She is also a highly sought management auditor who has evaluated multi-lateral funded initiatives globally. Currently, she serves as an advisor to Qatar Foundation on youth engagement and the UAE PMO on education. She is engaged in education innovation, innovative skill development programme planning, and developing smart education cities.
Sajida is an active volunteer with Harvard Club UAE, Executive Board; Canadian Alumni Society UAE, Founding President; MENA Association for Institutional Research, Board; Harvard Alumni for Global Women's Empowerment, Board; and e7, Board. Sajida is from Kenya and grew up in the UK and Canada.
