Elena Pasoli ( Bologna ) studied Classic Literature at the University of Bologna and in 1982 began working as a publicist. In 1982, she joined the Special Events Department of BolognaFiere where she worked until 2001, where she was appointed Project Manager of the Bologna Children's Book Fair. She left BolognaFiere in 2006 to head the University of Bologna Foundation's Communications unit until 2011. She later worked as a consultant with BolognaFiere and eventually rejoined the company in 2014 as Group Product Manager in the Cultural Business
